Act I
Hey you, little alabaster lady!
Yes you - whose eyes are always so shady.
It is I; Your reflection that speaks...
But why are there tears on your cheeks?
Hey there, my ever faithful friend,
You - who bears with me to the end.
I fear I'm losing the fight within...
I feel the walls are closing in.
Oh no, darling - forget about the sadness...
Do not let your heart envelope in darkness.
The moonlight in your smile shines so bright,
So do not let it become covered in blight.
The blood runs cold in my veins,
I ache to break these chains.
Loneliness cuts sharp,
And takes a heavy toll on my heart.
Would my touch of glass
Soothe your heart of brass?
I would step out of this crystal cage,
Just to help you turn a new page.
Let us make this deal,
As my soul craves to heal.
If you can turn the wheels
Could it be something real?
This chararade you have created
Has had your perception altered -
Doll, I am merely your inner conscience,
But I shall help you endure this distance.
Indulge me now, for I am weak.
This bitter affliction that I wreak
Upon myself, I must prevent...
But I can't find this tunnel's end.
Do you see that flare at the cavern's end?
For it is your very own will that I send -
Use this spark of hope to conclude this hell;
It is time to bid your past demons "Farewell."
Act II
The sand lands softly in the hourglass,
Caressing its transparent cage.
The pain fades slowly as the hours pass,
Leaving me with something strange.
Strong currents of fleeting time
May bend and break your bones -
But while in your veins boils wine,
Many you might conquer thrones...
The road is long, but still...
I need to reach this milestone.
Relying upon my will,
I just might make it on my own.
Your very being is recovering, I see;
No longer every storm can break you,
You are not a snowflake you used to be -
For cage is open and your wings are, too.
Awaking from this mundanity
My heart, it beats like thunder.
And all those thoughts of vanity
Are slowly torn asunder.
Have you escaped your dark thoughts yet?
For your mind flashes brighter than a storm.
I am glad that the self-pity you have fled -
And this might have just been dark before the dawn.
The light enters softly as I open my eyes,
And falls on my skin like a gentle touch.
Breathing out, I can finally get rid of these ties
And set my mind at rest, which I need much.
This is where the story comes to a halt -
For now that your tears are turned into art;
My work here is done.

This poem is a collaboration of me and SoloCrimson 
who, by the way, is an amazing poet, just go check her gallery and see for yourself.
As you can see, the concept is characterized by duality: the person and her reflection, as well as her dark thoughts vs her will to overcome them. We tried to give depth in the person's struggle as well as in the healing process.
SoloCrimson wrote the reflection's verses (italics), while I wrote the person's verses (simple). Our styles have great chemistry together, so it was more than fun to write something that flows so naturally.
I hope you like it as much as we enjoyed writing it. The theme was very inspiring for both of us and I truly feel this is something to be proud of. We also wrote those words in hope that they will provide comfort and positivity to someone who needs them.
