Looking at the immense land
On the mountain's edge I stand
Far away to unknown realms
An unexplored and dream-made place

Glaciers, woods and hills of snow
The cold wind strikes me high and low
But I can't feel it, I can't hurt
Feeling empty my dark heart

Bored of being nothing and tired of pain
I thought I had nothing else to gain
There is nothing much to say
I chose the immortal way

Now I'm staring at my home
All the pretty things I own
At the throne room beyond the gates
Lethal fate the strangers awaits

Demons letting no one pass
In the splendid Kingdom of glass
And above the crystal lake
Ravens on branches enjoy the glade

Whispering melodies and angry winds
Travel whistling through the trees
On my right, far I see her sitting
My still mortal heart is bleeding

Denying my love, the Frozen Queen
Maybe that's the cost of my foolish sin
Late at night, inside my room
In my dream it looks like the cell of my doom

I sense little steps on the ice floor
A child is standing behind my door
An unusual calling is filling my soul
It's strange but pure, I'm losing control

Seems I have to make a choice again
This time I'll make sure I'll pick the correct hand
The little angel brings a new world in my sight
Now I know what to do, it indeed feels right

Tomorrow only the ghosts will sit on my empty throne
Leaving is the right decision, I chose it on my own
This is the first poem I ever wrote. I introduced it to some friends for the first time on January 7th, 2010 and they kinda liked it, so I hope that you guys like it too. I do not follow any specific style, I only tried to make the verses rhyme. Tell me what you think :)

Please keep on writing!
It was mesmerizing and I kept imagining everything you're saying.
I love it. :)
