Mood: Excited as F*ck  

Hello everyone!

It's been such a long time since I posted something here. A lot of things have happened, I've gone through some changes and phases, but I think my life is gonna take a steady route now, at least for the upcoming months.  

 About me

After a lot of searching for a job, going to countless interviews and doing my best to better my image and communication skills, I decided that this isn't going to lead me anywhere and I should consider my options for further education or start looking for job opportunities, thinking out of the box. Since all my efforts have been fruitless, it turns out luck smiled at last and I got the chance to start over by taking a completely different turn on my education and start studying on a Master's degree. There was a new program at my girlfriend's University and it was for free, so I decided to take my chances and go for it. Turns out, they accepted me, and here I am, starting over as a forester (-ish). 

"Technical works and exploitation of woody biomass in a sustainable way" is not  exactly what I had in mind but I believe I will be able to use this knowledge to contribute in something good.

 About Art

Talking about thinking out of the box, and after all this time, it turns out it's not a good time to take commissions yet. I still have to better myself and find the style that truly represents me and helps me express my skills and my art. I decided to work on a long project of my own, which is going to take quite some time. I'm trying to sharpen my painting skills, since that's the art I'm really interested in producing (digital painting, not traditional), so this project helps me learn and get better. The way I have it in mind, it's gonna be a series of paintings with a common theme, which I'm going to upload when it's all done and ready. I'm not going to reveal any more information though, until a considerable amount of work has been completed.

I've been inactive for quite some time, it seems. At some point, I was thinking about deleting this account or starting a new one with a more professional/formal style... I constantly feel like I have to leave all the past deviations and style behind me in order to move forward, then I realized if I'm always waiting to feel satisfied with my skills in order to upload new things, I will never take the next step.

I haven't really produced any great artwork since the last time I uploaded stuff here, but I am working on several things behind the screen. Lately, I've been helping my girlfriend with a comic book project of hers. We've digitalized it and I've been using my digitizer to insert color in it, so I've practised for some time now.

After thinking and talking about it, I decided to take the next step and take commissions from now on. As I'm doing this for the first time, the prices will be pretty affordable. I'm still not sure how it will work out, but here's what I thought for a start:

 Simple sketch - line art
Character:  3€
Location: 3 - 5€
Character + Background: 5 - 6€
Every additional character: 2€

 Line art + simple color (with very simple shading) OR black and white shades
Character: 5€
Location: 7 - 10€
Character + Background: 10 - 12€
Every additional character: 3€

 Line art + color shades (blended)
Character: 7€
Location: 10 - 15€
Character + Background: 10 - 18€
Every additional character: 4€

 Later I'm gonna add prices for paintings (without line art).

The price range refers to the complexity of the art. I will accept payment as such: half of the money up front, and if you are satisfied with the work, you shall pay the rest after it is done.
The payment will be submitted through a bank account, which we will discuss in a pm about (as well as for the other details).

The prices may change over time, as I'll observe how much effort and resources it takes for each category. I will always let you know the changes, of course.

• Ran over an animal and killed it?: I don't drive yet. But when I do, I'll be super careful about such stuff. I'd rather damage my car than run over an animal.

Who knows... I would like to, but there's a lot to be done first.

About 6 out of 10. Given that there are people who make art by drawing only simple lines, and then there are professional artists who blow your mind with their realistic art, I think I am pretty average in the whole spectrum (especially compared to the skill level I want to reach).
